Neville Turner -Conductor Emeritus
A chorister, a graduate of the Guildhall (London), a bandsman, a Director of Music in schools and a free-lance musician, Neville brings vast experience to his position. He has directed musicals, operas and orchestral courses, examined for ABRSM internationally, adjudicated at competitive music festivals and conducted local orchestras for many years, working with such well-known musicians as Nigel Kennedy and Paul Tortellier.
Neville was appointed Musical Director of Lincoln Choral Society in 1995 and for over 20 years he rehearsed and conducted the choir in a wide range of choral works in Lincoln Cathedral. Particularly memorable were performances with Dame Janet Baker, with Jonathan Lemalu in Belshazzar's Feast and with the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra in Beethoven's Ninth Symphony.
